Fascent – Alive, Expressive, and Effortlessly Wearable
From green figs to soft white flowers and… beetroot: Fascent is the contemporary perfume house that creates scents that exude curiosity and playfulness while being balanced, well-crafted, and easy to like.

Fanny and Edwina started Fascent as a brave, uninhibited way to make the world of fragrance freer – and more fun. If they had to describe their personalities in scent, they say they would be scents with movement – “like Fascent itself”. A collection of contrasts, where creamy, salty, soft, and bold coexist. “Something that feels familiar yet unexpected”. This feeling is well summed up in the house’s scents, which are both light-hearted and exciting.

The latest scent, “Red Flag”, for example, contains beetroot, a note they highlight as particularly underrated. “It’s not an obvious choice in perfumery, which is exactly why it’s so interesting. It sits at the crossroads of earthy, savory, and subtly sweet, bringing depth and an unexpected sensuality to a fragrance,” they explain. “We created a custom beetroot accord to explore the idea of a savory gourmand, something addictive, but in a more intriguing and unconventional way than traditional sweetness. It adds texture, contrast, and a skin-like warmth that feels both intimate and bold. It’s the kind of note that makes people curious, that makes them lean in closer without fully understanding why.”

It’s this kind of unexpected curiosity that Fascent is all about. “Fascent was born from a desire to reinvent the rules of niche perfumery”, they explain: “to make it more emotional, spontaneous, and fun. We wanted to bring back instinct and movement into the way people wear fragrance. Our driving force is to help everyone express who they are through scent: without codes, without limits.”

Conveying emotions is a big part of the house’s philosophy. They describe the best kind of scent memory as the scent of someone you love: “that intimate, addictive scent of warm skin you could recognize among a thousand others. It’s both soft and magnetic, tender and raw. This emotion inspired Radical Softness, where we explored a “fresh flesh” accord, clean, musky, and subtly carnal, like skin just kissed by air and light.”

Fascent describes their inspiration, just like in the case of Radical Softness, as being born from everyday life: “from moments, textures, moods, and people. It can be the smell of sunscreen on skin, a late-night bakery, a tennis match in the sun, or the bittersweet scent of nostalgia. We translate emotions into olfactive stories that feel alive and wearable.”

The process from start to finished fragrances always starts with a mood: “We collect feelings, images, textures, and even playlists, all gathered in a moodboard before we touch raw materials. Then we translate that energy into a scent, closely with our perfumers: balancing emotion, wearability, and a touch of rebellion.”

They describe their DNA as alive, expressive, yet effortlessly wearable. “They’re distinctive, modern, and designed to live and evolve beautifully on the skin. Each scent feels like a piece of personality you can wear.”
