Iris

Iris can bring to mind a powder compact, soft violets or freshly washed skin. The natural perfume material comes from the plant's rhizome, which is dried and aged to develop its scent. Perfumers also recreate iris with other fragrance materials. Often cool and powdery, with green or earthy nuances, it can soften both floral and woody fragrances.
