Jasmine

Jasmine is a classic scent note used in perfumery for over a thousand years, and is most often found in the top and heart notes of a perfume. This white flower has many different facets and can feel fresh, green, and luminous, but also rich and indolic (animalic, almost carnal). Many perceive the note as luxurious, intense, and sensual. There are over 200 different varieties of jasmine, but the two most commonly used in modern perfumery are Jasminum Grandiflorum and Jasminum Sambac.
