Rose

Rose is a note as rich in history as it is in character. Many perfumers have been captivated by its different facets, from green and true-to-life to metallic, mineral, or even juicy, gourmand-like. In perfumery, the species "Rosa Damascena" and "Rosa Centifolia" are particularly common, and it is often said that its origin plays a role in how its scent is perceived. Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, and Moroccan rose are particularly common in modern perfumery.
