Blackcurrant

Blackcurrant can bring juicy berry sweetness as well as a distinctly green, tart edge. Perfumery includes interpretations of the fruit and extracts from the plant's buds, which have a more intense green character. Also called cassis, the note is often noticeable early in a fragrance and can contrast with soft flowers or warmer base notes.
